Open Agent Kit (OAK) is an open-source architecture toolkit for AI-driven development. It ships a CLI, an MCP server, and a dashboard that capture plans, decisions, and trade-offs from agent-led work — turning ephemeral coding sessions into a navigable record of what was built and why.
What it does
OAK gives architects a place to outline the system, set guardrails, and hand execution to agents — while keeping a structured trail of every decision the agents made along the way. The dashboard surfaces what shipped, what was deferred, and where the model and the team disagreed.
Why it exists
AI-driven development moves fast enough that traditional design docs and PR descriptions can't keep up. OAK is built for the AI-DLC era — where the human role is architecture, validation, and steering, and the agent role is implementation. The kit makes that division of labor legible to the rest of the team.
